YVC Students & Employees:
Yakima Valley College (YVC) is using RAVE Mobile Safety for our emergency notification system. Users will receive approved YVC emergency alerts and communications via text and email. When registering, you will be able to select how you receive the alert, email and/or text message. You are responsible for managing your contact information and communication preferences.
CWU-Yakima and WSU-ICN students, educational partner employees, and community members can also sign up to receive YVC alerts about college closures and emergencies. To create an account click the "Register" button above.
Notifications for Weather Closure:
In the event that classes are canceled due to weather, the college will contact local media outlets including television and radio stations in Yakima and Tri-Cities. Be sure to listen for clarification on whether the closure is for Yakima Campus, Grandview Campus, or one of our learning centers. The notice will also include information about whether day and/or evening classes are affected. Evening students, please check the website in the late afternoon, as the status of the closure may change if the weather changes. The college will resume regular business hours the following day unless otherwise notified. RAVE alerts, schoolreport.org, and the YVC website will also be used to communicate weather closures and updates.
For technical support contact the YVC Technology Services 509.574.4717 or email@example.com. RAVE is a secure service that will not sell your personal information.
