    MCC Students:

    For first-time setup, use the “Register” button.   You can use any email address that is currently active, as your registration email.  You can enter another email under “Preferred Email” if you like.  When you are asked to enter “Mobile Number” , this will be for sending text messages, and you will immediately receive a  test message. Note: If you do not wish to subscribe to text messages, leave the “Mobile Number” blank.  Once logged in, you can manage your account and update contact information using the “My Account” tab.  Under this tab you can add or change your contact information.  “Voice Only Line Contacts” would typically be for your home phone or cell phone without texting.  Any reference to “mobile contacts” is for texting purposes.

     

    MCC Employees:

    For first-time setup, use the “Register” button.  Please use your mchenry.edu email address as your registration email.  You can enter another email under “Preferred Email”,  if you like. If you do not have a mchenry.edu email,  you can use any email address that is currently active, as your registration email. When you are asked to enter “Mobile Number”, this will be for sending text messages, and you will immediately receive a  test message.  Note: If you do not wish to subscribe to text messages, leave the “Mobile Number” blank.  Once logged in, you can manage your account and update contact information using the “My Account” tab.  Under this tab you can add or change your contact information.  “Voice Only Line Contacts” would typically be for your home phone or cell phone without text.  Any reference to “Mobile Contacts” is for texting purposes.

     

    Please note that the system works most efficiently with text messages, because a text will get through crowded lines in emergency situations where a voice call may not get through.  However, providing a mobile phone number for texting is not required in the system.  Please be sure to include phone numbers under “Voice Only” contacts if you are not using texting.  Again, look under the “My Account” tab to enter voice only contacts or change information.

     

    Important: Text messages will be sent from either 67283 or 226787.  Please assign a name such as “MCC Notify” to these numbers in your phone so that you may quickly identify these emergency alerts from MCC.
